M.A. Geography

The Master of Arts (M.A.) in Geography is a two-year postgraduate degree programme designed to provide advanced knowledge of physical and human geography, spatial analysis, and environmental studies. The programme helps students develop analytical, research, and fieldwork skills required to understand geographical patterns, environmental processes, and socio-economic dynamics.

The course emphasizes both theoretical concepts and practical applications, including map work, GIS fundamentals, field studies, and research methodology. The programme follows the university-prescribed syllabus and academic structure.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the M.A. (Geography) programme must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Must have passed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university

  • Graduation in Geography or a related subject is preferred

  • Admission will be granted as per university norms and merit
