M.Sc. Physics

The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) is a three-year undergraduate degree programme designed to provide students with a strong foundation in scientific principles, analytical thinking, and practical knowledge. The programme prepares students for higher education, research opportunities, and diverse career paths in science, technology, and related fields.

Students are required to study three optional subjects along with a set of compulsory papers in each academic year. The course follows the university-prescribed syllabus and academic structure.

2 Years (4 Semesters)

2. Classical Mechanics 
3. Quantum Mechanics 
4. Statistical Physics 
5. Electrodynamic and Plasma Physics 
6. Electronic Devices 
7. Condensed Matter Physics
8. Nuclear and Particle Physics 
9. Numerical Method and Programming 
10. Physics of Nanomaterials and Nanostructures

Optional /Elective Course:

Students may choose elective papers from the following areas (subject to availability):

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the M.Sc. (Physics) programme must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Must have passed a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) from a recognized university

  • Graduation in Physics or related discipline is mandatory

  • Admission will be granted as per university rules and merit criteria
