Dr. Brajesh Kumar

“Botanical science not only helps us understand plant life but also plays a vital role in preserving biodiversity and sustaining the ecological balance of our planet.” Dr. Brajesh Kumar is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany and also holds the additional responsibility of Vice Principal at Prabhudhan Degree College, Bhorugram. He holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Botany from the University of Allahabad with First Division, has qualified CSIR-NET in Life Sciences, and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. With more than a decade of teaching experience, he is dedicated to delivering quality education and fostering a research-oriented learning environment. His teaching focuses on strengthening conceptual understanding of plant sciences while encouraging students to explore research, environmental awareness, and biodiversity conservation. His academic interests include plant biodiversity, ethnobotany, microbial diversity, environmental ecology, and medicinal plant research, and through lectures, research discussions, and practical work, he helps students understand the scientific importance of plant life. Dr. Kumar has contributed significantly to academic research through publications in national and international journals and has presented research papers at various conferences, reflecting his commitment to scientific advancement. In addition to teaching and research, he actively contributes to institutional responsibilities as AISHE In-Charge, NPTEL SPOC, Examination In-Charge, and Nature Club In-Charge. He regularly participates in faculty development programmes, workshops, and training sessions to enhance his teaching and research capabilities. As a faculty member and academic leader, he remains committed to guiding students, promoting research culture, and strengthening the academic environment of the institution. “Education and research together create the foundation for sustainable development and scientific innovation.”
