Mr. Mohit, Master of Library and Information Science (M.Lib.I.Sc.), is serving as the Librarian at Prabhu Dhan Degree College, Bhorugram. “Libraries are the foundation of academic growth, providing knowledge resources, research support, and a culture of reading for students and faculty.” He holds a Master of Library and Information Science from Punjabi University, Patiala, along with a Bachelor of Library and Information Science, reflecting his strong academic background in library science and information management. He is experienced in library organization and administration, including book classification and cataloguing, accession register maintenance, issue and return record management, and stock verification, and focuses on maintaining an organized and student-friendly library environment. He is also skilled in library management software, digital cataloguing, database management, and handling e-resources such as e-books and e-journals, and actively supports students and faculty through reference services, information retrieval, and academic research while promoting reading habits through library activities and programs. In addition to his core responsibilities, he contributes to institutional development as a member of the Examination Committee and IQAC Committee, and also serves as the Coordinator of the Reading Club, while participating in admission counseling, outreach programmes, and field visits. He regularly enhances his professional skills through training and certifications, including orientation under the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme and NPTEL certifications in IT Applications in Libraries and institutional support skills. As the Librarian, he remains dedicated to promoting a reading culture, supporting academic excellence, and ensuring easy access to knowledge resources for all learners. “Access to knowledge is the first step toward academic excellence and lifelong learning.”
