Ms. Monika Masta
M.Sc. (Mathematics), B.Ed | Ph.D. (Pursuing)
Ms. Monika Masta is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Prabhudhan Degree College, Bhorugram. “Mathematics develops logical thinking, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills that form the foundation of scientific and technological progress.” She holds a Master of Science in Mathematics from Chaudhary Bansi Lal University, Bhiwani, and a Bachelor of Education from Indira Gandhi University, Meerpur, and is currently pursuing her Ph.D., reflecting her commitment to academic growth and research. With several years of teaching experience, she focuses on building strong conceptual understanding among students through logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and step-by-step problem-solving methods. Her areas of expertise include Algebra, Linear Algebra, Differential and Integral Calculus, Differential Equations, Real and Complex Analysis, Abstract Algebra, and Probability & Statistics, and she encourages students to develop a strong mathematical foundation through structured lectures and practical problem-solving sessions. Ms. Masta has actively participated in academic and research activities and has presented research work on Fixed Point Theorems in Fuzzy Metric Space at an international conference organized by Assam Don Bosco University, along with contributing to research publications in mathematics. In addition to teaching and research, she plays an important role in academic and institutional responsibilities as Head of the Science Stream (UG) and as a member of various committees including Cultural Committee, Admission Committee, Anti-Ragging Squad, SC/ST Welfare Committee, Student Disciplinary Committee, Student Grievance Redressal Committee, and Women Cell Committee, while also coordinating the Art and Craft Club to support holistic student development. She regularly participates in faculty development programmes and academic training sessions to enhance her teaching methodology and academic knowledge. As a faculty member, she remains committed to creating a supportive learning environment and guiding students toward academic excellence and confidence in mathematics. “Mathematical thinking empowers students to solve problems with clarity, logic, and confidence.”
