Ms. Sonu Joshi, M.Sc. (Zoology), is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology. “Biological education is not only about understanding living organisms, but also about developing scientific thinking, curiosity, and awareness about the natural world.” She holds a Master of Science in Zoology from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, and has a strong academic background supported by practical laboratory training. She specializes in key areas of Zoology including Animal Physiology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Ecology, Environmental Biology, Evolutionary Biology, Invertebrate and Vertebrate Zoology, Molecular Biology, and Developmental Biology, and her teaching approach focuses on building strong theoretical understanding along with practical experience. She believes that effective science education should encourage observation, critical thinking, and experimentation, and through laboratory demonstrations, interactive discussions, and modern teaching methods, she motivates students to explore life sciences and develop scientific curiosity. She is also skilled in laboratory techniques such as microscopy handling, slide preparation and staining, histology and cytology practicals, dissection techniques, and basic molecular biology practices including DNA and RNA isolation, which help students gain deeper practical understanding. In addition to teaching, she actively participates in academic and co-curricular activities as a member of the Scout, Rover & Ranger Committee, Notice Board Committee, and as Co-Coordinator of the Nature Club, contributing to the overall development of students. As a faculty member, she remains committed to nurturing knowledgeable, responsible, and environmentally aware individuals. “Learning about life helps us understand the importance of protecting and sustaining our natural world.”
